Today is Holy Wednesday (also known as Spy Wednesday) is the Wednesday before Easter Sunday. This Holy Week is the week to commemorate the one and only Holy person Jesus Christ. We can make this week a special time – a time for us to learn to be grateful as we recall what Jesus, the perfect Sacrifice Lamb and the Risen Saviour, had done for us about two thousands years or so ago. Christ came, Christ died, and Christ is risen… in order that you and I can enjoy an intimate relationship with our loving Father God forever and ever.
Although we are half way the Holy Week, we still have time to prepare ourselves to celebrate Easter in an impactful and meaningful way. Read the Gospel accounts starting from Christ entering the Jerusalem till the resurrection of Christ. Luke 19-24. Take a passage a day and reflect what was happening every day during the last week of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
I want us to learn to prepare ourselves as we approach Easter Sunday Service. On the Easter Sunday Service we, as a Family of God, will get together to proclaim to the whole wide world that Jesus Christ is alive! No doubt about it – apart from all the historical facts and evidence, our very own life testimonies will testify Christ is alive. I love the hymn “He Lives” where the lyrics say: “He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today! …You ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart!”
“Christ is risen” and “He is risen indeed!”
Last week we have visitors from different part of the world – from Singapore, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Malaysia and as far as New Zealand.
