This Sunday is Palm Sunday! Palm Sunday is the last Sunday of the Season of Lent. We will celebrate the triumphant entry of the Lord Jesus into Jerusalem. Traditionally the waving of the palms celebrates the coming of the victorious conqueror. To us, Jesus Christ, our victorious King and mighty Conqueror, is ushering His Kingdom in to replace the old kingdom. What a victory on Calvary yet suffering and death must first take place before the resurrection. Death has lost its sting. Jesus is the conquering King, Hallelujah!

On one hand, the Cross shows us how serious the penalty of sin must be taken but, on the other hand, it also shows the immeasurable love of Father God has for us.
