We are in the Season of Advent – it is a season to prepare for the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. “Advent” a Latin word which simply means “coming” or “arrival”. We find it so meaningful as we prepare and celebrate the coming of Christ, not only for His birth, but also to celebrate when some one has a new birth, that is, he has received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and walks into a new life, and, most of all, we are anticipating Jesus to come again. What a heavenly celebration that would be!
We have such rich heritage and good tradition (not all traditions are bad) to help us focus on the coming of Christ – the first arrival and the future coming again. As we rise and take up the challenge to pray for this wonderful city and nation, let us learn to say NO to the worldly distractions of consumerism – full of shoppings and usually we find ourselves buying things that we do not need – instead let us be bold to say YES to the gift of eternal life that God our Creator wants everyone of us to enjoy.
We are an English-Speaking Interdenominational church that serves to be a blessing to all nations. Our Sunday Service starts at 11 AM.
