Tết signifies a new beginning and focuses on family reunions and ancestral reverence. Family is foremost important to the people of Vietnam. So similar to the teachings of Christ, we are to honour and respect our parents and be a filial child, fulfilling our duties to take care of our family.

I am wondering how the Israelites were feeling when they were about to exit Egypt. Did they reminisce about their lives in Egypt for the past decades, not to mention four centuries had passed? How much longsufferings and lamentations they must have cried to their God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when they were made slaves?

Christ is Risen! 

As we celebrate Jesus Christ's Resurrection, it is God’s way of authenticating who the Lord Jesus is. He is the One who makes sense of our lives and gives meaning to life itself.
