Some churches choose to celebrate Halloween Festival and others shun such festival. We understood that Halloween Festival is rooted in a yearly Celtic pagan festival known as Samhain.

Good Friday Tenebrae service – 8 Stations of the Cross

We had our Good Friday Tenebrae (Tenebrae is Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”) worship service. It was a series of Scripture readings, meditations and prayers done in stages while the candles were gradually extinguished to symbolise the gradual darkness of Jesus’ death and a world without true hope.

Ash Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday (22 February). It marks the beginning of the 40 days of Lent. It is a time to pray, fast, reflect and repent – returning to the Lord with our whole heart.

As an international church, we bade some of our members farewell as they returned to their home countries this year. At the same time, we also saw some new members joining us. We pray for more to share our vision to seek the shalom of this wonderful vibrant city.
